Requirements For Completing Each Station

("Stations" are also known as levels or stickers)

Station 1

  • 10 Bobs. Head must go under. Must blow bubbles.

Station 2

  • Float on stomach--5 seconds.
  • Float on back--5 seconds.

  • Push off & glide on stomach--5 seconds.
  • Push off & glide on back--5 seconds.

Station 3

  • Kick on stomach--15 feet.
  • Kick on back--15 feet.
  • Kick butterfly--5 kicks.

Station 4

  • Side-Glide-Kick--½ pool width.
  • Freestyle--½ pool width. (With or without breathing.)

Station 5

  • Freestyle--1 pool width, with near-perfect breathing.
  • Backstroke--1 pool width.

Station 6

  • Tread water for 1 minute in deep water.
  • Freestyle--2 pool widths.
  • Backstroke--1 pool width.

Station 7

  • Freestyle--3 pool widths.
  • Backstroke--2 pool widths.
  • Breaststroke kick--1 pool width--must be "legal".

Station 8

  • Freestyle--6 pool widths with alternate side breathing.
  • Breaststroke--3 pool widths.
  • Butterfly--1 pool width.

Station 9

  • Freestyle--12 pool widths with alternate side breathing.
  • Butterfly--2 pool widths.
  • Elementary backstroke--3 pool widths.
  • Sidetroke--3 pool widths.

Station 10

  • Freestyle - 18 pool widths with alternate side breathing.
  • Backstroke - 6 pool widths.
  • IM - 1 width of each stroke--Butterfly, Backstroke, Breaststroke, Freestyle.
